Kombucha is a delicious fermented tea that is rich in probiotics.
It is not a new trend, it is a (thousands of years old) traditional tonic tea.
Experience Kombucha is the Okanagan's original kombucha brewed locally - a bit tangy, a bit sweet and always naturally carbonated.

I'm so lucky to have Raina in my life! She helps me take the stress
and guilt out of eating.
It's not always easy with three young boys running around but her support has helped me make nutrition and wellness a priority.
And now she can't ever leave because I am
addicted to her Rootbeer Kombucha!

Kombucha is one great traditional food.
As society modernized, we lost some traditional practices in our food culture, we were able to refrigerate our food and had less use for fermenting the harvest over the winter season. The food-fermentation process would inhibit bad bacteria from the food, keeping it stored safely throughout the times of year when no fresh foods were available. We learned that 'fast, frozen, microwaved, drive-thru food' was the most modern and best way to eat.
Now in our modern food culture, we are so sick! AND we have lost this practice of fermented foods in only a few short generations, taking a huge toll on our overall health. Science is starting to uncover A LOT recently about the health benefits of probiotic-rich fermented foods, science is backing up what we’ve been promoting for years. It’s incredible the connections in our body that all start in our intestinal tract.
Inflammation. Digestive issues. Mental health. and more.
Kombucha was something for me I wasn't sure about. I had tried many of the store brands only to be disappointed by the over-the-top vinegar taste, and excessive carbonation left me feeling bloated. I knew the health benefits of kombucha so I forced it down....then I met Raina. I tried her root beer kombucha at an event and I loved it! Instead of making me feel bloated it helped with my digestion, which is an issue I've had for many years. Not only did I love the taste but I LOVE that this is hand crafted in small batches so there is no compromising the integrity of the ingredients. Thank you for tantalizing my tastebuds and making my tummy happy!

We love making happy tummy's! Fermented foods are one piece of the puzzle that’s really missing from our diet.
We are still eating so many processed foods because of our societal norm to be in a hurry, less and less of us cook anymore. Not everyone ferments foods anymore! In addition to a healthful whole foods diet; based on lots of fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans and organic meat: fermented foods round out a clean diet, adding healthy probiotics into our gut, aiding our digestion and immune system with every bite.
We can purchase raw, unpasteurized fermented foods or we can make our own easily at home!
There are many more connections with probiotics, the biggest one being the large scope of mental health.
