Crunchy Raw Protein Balls… the same goes here as in the healthy brownie recipe, in this case 'raw' simply means un-cooked, the recipe contains a blend of nuts, fruits and spices that is completely safe, fun to eat and customizable. You do not have to bake these ingredients together!

Pro Insight: planning ahead and storing healthy foods/snacks offers better choice options for your future self, making good decisions easier!

These snack balls offer a filling combination of protein, carbs, and fats, plus they're easily portable. Pair two or 3 with a piece of fruit for a snack and avoid the long-list of ingredients in store-bought granola bars and bites. They are a good source of healthy fats, which are necessary for brain health, but also aid our blood sugar, wonderful if you are trying to lose weight.

Ingredients:

1 cup raw cashews

½ cup almonds

1 tbsp cocoa

1 tbsp raw cacao nibs

2 scoops of protein powder (chocolate) OR use an additional tbsp of cocoa and 4 tbsp of hemp seeds

10 dates

2-3 tbsp of almond milk

Optional add-ins: 1 tsp cinnamon, 3-4 tbsp shredded coconut or your favourite dried fruit, 2 tbsp peanut butter

Directions

Blend all ingredients in food processor, roll into balls and refrigerate before serving. If it doesn’t start to “clump” in the food processor, add some additional almond milk.

Great for snacks, kids, travelling...

rock n' roll. Enjoy!
